Kathmandu University and Comparative Education Society of Nepal are the main organizers of the Conference.  The organizers will be inviting other national and international organizations to become organizing agencies.

Kathmandu University

Established in 1991 with a vision“To become a world-class university devoted to bringing knowledge and technology to the service of mankind,” Kathmandu University is an autonomous, not-for-profit, public institution located in a mountainous landscape in Dhulikhel. It is located about 30 kilometers east of Kathmandu valley having round-the-year pleasant climate and panoramic views of the Himalayan.Started with a modest facilities, within just 25 years it has proven track record of both world class physical infrastructure development as well as academic excellence.  At present, the University offers various undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs in science, engineering, medicine, management, education, arts, pharmacy, environment, music, human & natural resources, information technology, and biotechnology, through School of Science, School of Management, School of Engineering, School of Medical Sciences, School of Education, School of Artsand School of Law.  In addition to about 6,000 students studying in its constituent campuses about 10,000 students are in its affiliated colleges.

Apart from continually enhancing the educational standard, KU has been successfully collaborating with more than fifty universities and institutions of international repute for faculty and students exchange programs, credit transfer and joint research work and exchange information. This has helped KU to establish itself well in the world community.

Comparative Education Society of Nepal (CESON)

Comparative Education Society of Nepal (CESON), established in 2013, is a non-profit, non-governmental professional organization.  It is dedicated to social transformation through research, learning and development.

CESON focuses on comparative perspective in education and development aiming at contributing to knowledge generation and social transformation.  It promotes knowledge sharing culture in the national and international arena for sustainable society.  Key CESON activities include research and publication, program development and implementation, organizing seminars and conferences CESON is dedicated to understand educational issues, trends and policies through comparative and international perspectives in general and education and development, early childhood development, technical and vocational education, social transformation, gender, ethnicity, language and socio-demographic status in particular.

Its members are professionals associated with various academic institutions, UN agencies and other bilateral and multilateral development partners who bring a range of experiences to CESON.  Its members have successfully coordinated and managed international events in partnership with various universities and development organizations.
